Your real odds
AWE supports an average of 570 businesses annually and has deployed over $51 million through its lending program across 30 years, so volume is meaningful but approval still turns on your business plan, financial readiness, and equity contribution.
The program runs on a rolling basis rather than competitive rounds, which means you are not racing a deadline, but you are being assessed against fixed criteria. Applicants who fall outside those criteria can appeal in writing to a third-party ombudsman.
What it takes
Take the Loan Readiness Quiz on AWE's site to assess your fit15–30 minutes
Prepare a clear business plan and realistic financial projectionsSeveral days to weeks
Submit a loan application through AWE's financing pathway1–2 hours to complete
Worth knowing
AWE reinvests the interest and fees paid by borrowers to fund other women entrepreneurs, so your on-time repayment directly sustains the pool you drew from. If you need more than the $150,000 cap, AWE can connect approved borrowers to lending partners for larger amounts.
