Your real odds
You can apply at any time because this is a rolling deadline program, so you are not competing against a single annual cohort.
TAC publishes no win-rate data, and the rolling format reduces the pile-up of competition typical of fixed deadlines. TAC also funds up to 100% of the requested amount, which is more generous than many grant programs.
What it takes
Confirm eligibility and choose a category1 to 2 hrs
Build project budget and identify other revenue2 to 4 hrs
Complete application including mentorship selection3 to 6 hrs
Submit 4 months before project start
Worth knowing
Adding a mentorship component raises your maximum grant by $5,000 in both categories, bringing the ceiling to $15,000 for Creation and Development and $20,000 for Presentation, so it is worth building in even when mentorship is secondary to your project goals.
