CAN YOU GET THIS?

You need a water-focused solution at a meaningful technical maturity level (TRL 4–7) and must be willing to relocate to Val de Bagnes, Switzerland for up to three months.

You need a water-focused solution at a meaningful technical maturity level (TRL 4–7) and must be willing to relocate to Val de Bagnes, Switzerland for up to three months.

Your project must address multi-use water challenges in infrastructure, governance, or user awareness. You must be a company, SME, startup, or water specialist ready to work on-site and test under real alpine conditions.

YOUR REAL ODDS

Past editions selected roughly 2–5 winners per cycle from a pool that in 2020 drew 59 companies with 41 formal submissions.

This is a selective, hands-on residency program, not a broad grant. The on-site requirement narrows the field significantly, which may improve odds for teams genuinely able to commit.

WHAT IT TAKES

  1. Check fit: confirm your solution targets multi-use water and sits at TRL 4–7 — 1–2 days

  2. Complete and submit the online application form — 1–2 weeks

  3. Present to selection committee if shortlisted (in person or digital) — Within ~1 month of submission

  4. Relocate and begin on-site pilot in Val de Bagnes — Up to 3 months

WORTH KNOWING

Past winners have included AI-based leak detection, digital twins for drinking water supply, and connected water-quality sensors—concrete, field-ready tools rather than early concepts. Showing your solution is genuinely deployable in an alpine municipal setting strengthens your case.
