✕Companies in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, or aquaculture are not eligible
✕Applicants not an Invest NI client in the last 5 years are not eligible
✓Must have a qualifying innovative project
What it takes
Confirm your business meets all eligibility criteria, including location, sector, and Invest NI client status.
Submit an application through the Innovate NI portal when a round opens.
If successful, enter the Innovate NI programme to receive advice, guidance, and an Innovation Recognition Certificate.
Worth knowing
The grant covers 70% of eligible costs, meaning businesses must fund the remaining 30% themselves.
Successful applicants also receive an Innovation Recognition Certificate from the Department for the Economy.
