CAN YOU GET THIS?

You must apply as a three-partner team: an adaptation practitioner, a community-based organization, and a US local or regional government.

The project must focus on climate adaptation and resilience (not mitigation or emissions reduction) in a US community under 300,000 residents that includes historically disinvested populations facing significant climate impacts.

YOUR REAL ODDS

CSCI planned to award 16–20 grants in the 2026 cycle from a $1.5–2 million budget, noting high application volume.

Awards are competitive and scored by a panel on vulnerability, equity, nature-based solutions, and capacity-building potential. The program explicitly noted a high number of applications, so competition is real.
