Your real odds
The program is accepting applications now for placements starting August 1, 2026 or later, and reviews them within 10 business days on a rolling basis rather than a single competitive intake.
Funding runs through March 31, 2027, so the window is real but finite, and earlier applications give you more runway to plan the placement.
What it takes
Submit employer application online1–2 hours
Student completes eligibility form; application reviewedUp to 10 business days

Worth knowing
As of April 1, 2026, apprenticeships and short-term or seasonal roles are no longer eligible, so the placement needs to be a structured WIL co-op lasting up to one year or it will not qualify.
