The program requires a prototype tested in a lab or relevant environment, a committed team of at least two founders, and either active fundraising or plans to raise within 6–12 months. Non-Estonian companies can register via e-Residency with Beamline's help.

YOUR REAL ODDS

Up to 13 startups are selected per cohort, and the last batch showed 12 companies accepted.

The program is backed by Estonian government ministries and EU recovery funds, which adds credibility but also means a formal multi-stage council selection process. Competition is real but the cohort size is relatively defined.

WHAT IT TAKES

  1. Submit application online — 1–3 hours

  2. Introductory interview and pitch to the program's Council — 1–2 weeks after apply

  3. Follow-up expert interview and pre-selection by Selection Committee — Several weeks

  4. Compose development plans (TRL, DNSH, GHG, investor-readiness) and sign contract — 1–2 months
