YOUR REAL ODDS

Phase 2 of the HardTech course accepts only 3–5 companies, making it highly selective.

Phase 1 took 8–10 companies; Phase 2 narrows that to 3–5 across all applicants in hardware and advanced manufacturing globally competing for a Michigan-based accelerator's cohort. The program is equity-free, which likely drives high application volume.

WHAT IT TAKES

  1. Confirm eligibility: Japan-based, hardtech focus, English-capable, Series A or later for Phase 2 — 1 day

  2. Prepare application form and pitch video per JETRO's submission guidelines — 1–2 weeks

  3. Submit via JETRO's application form before the deadline — 1 day

WORTH KNOWING

The program is equity-free and run in partnership with Centrepolis Accelerator, which has strong networks with major manufacturers and investors in the U.S. Midwest—useful if your go-to-market involves American manufacturing partners or industrial customers.
