When it reopens, a scientific and economic evaluation committee ranks projects and selects them based on available budget, so being eligible does not make you a safe bet. Multi-partner projects and those involving research centres are explicitly prioritized.

If an eligible public research centre accounts for at least 20% of your total eligible project costs, your grant rate rises from 35% to 50% as an SME, so structuring in a research partner before you apply is worth the effort.
