What it takes
Submit an application during the open application period.
Applications are shortlisted in the first round by a jury of Startup Refugees team members.
Shortlisted applications proceed to a second-round jury of two experienced representatives and one entrepreneur from a migrant or refugee background.
If awarded, provide a mid-year progress update and a final report within 12 months of receiving the award.
Worth knowing
Award payments are taxable income under Finnish tax legislation, and Startup Refugees will report payments to the Finnish Incomes Register.
The award can be used for prototyping, product development, market testing, equipment, and business development activities.
