Your solution must be on the market (no prototypes or drafts), no more than 3 years old or have major updates within the past 2 years, and be submitted through a designated national expert in your country.

YOUR REAL ODDS

Each country's national expert selects only the top 8 solutions to advance to the global stage, making national selection the first real filter.

Competition is structured country-by-country first, so your odds depend heavily on how many strong applicants exist in your country. The global stage then draws winners from across all participating UN/UNESCO member states.

WHAT IT TAKES

  1. Check your country's national expert and local deadline via the WSA site — 1–2 hours

  2. Draft your application in English covering problem, solution, traction, and impact metrics — 3–5 hours

  3. Submit through your national expert before the local deadline — 30 minutes

WORTH KNOWING

Jurors are international and may not be familiar with your local market, so include screenshots or presentations if your product isn't globally accessible — the application guidelines specifically call this out as important.
