You must be a small business owner in one of BMO's four priority cities, operating for 1-5 years with under 10 employees.

Your work must align with one of three focus areas: bringing financial services to underbanked communities, supporting the small business ecosystem, or expanding home ownership access. All legal structures are welcome—for-profit, nonprofit, or social enterprise.

YOUR REAL ODDS

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with priority given to early applicants. A 20-minute interview is required before final selection, so expect a multi-step process.

WHAT IT TAKES

  1. Submit online application (~30 minutes) — By July 26, 2026 for priority consideration

  2. Interview with admissions committee — 20-minute Zoom call if selected

  3. Confirm enrollment after acceptance — Decisions announced by July 22, 2026

  4. Complete 16-week program with mandatory workshops Tue–Thu 10am–12pm MT — August 25–December 15, 2026
