FUNDING TYPE
Pitch Competition
CAN YOU GET THIS?
YOUR REAL ODDS
Only three finalists pitch per category, so nine total pitchers compete for the full $15K prize pool.
The pool is deliberately local and small, which makes it competitive within that geography but far less crowded than national competitions. If you fit the location criteria, your odds of being selected as a finalist are meaningful.
WHAT IT TAKES
Confirm you meet the geographic eligibility for one of the three categories — 30 minutes
Submit your application for the relevant category — 1–3 hours
If selected as a finalist, prepare a five-minute pitch presentation — 1–2 weeks
WORTH KNOWING
Winners also receive a DEIC membership alongside the cash prize, which gives access to DEIC's year-round mentorship, networking, and education programs—potentially more valuable long-term than the prize money itself.
